A Deeper Look Inside NAD+ Nasal Spray

What is NAD+ Nasal Spray?

NAD+ Nasal Spray is a compounded intranasal formulation of NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), the coenzyme your cells use to move energy and power repair enzymes. It is designed as a convenient, needle-free way to make NAD+ support part of your daily routine. The spray is used intranasally, typically once daily or as directed by your provider, and fits easily alongside other Revive Longevity therapies. Why patients choose it:
  • Needle-free and travel-friendly; no injections or refrigeration hassle
  • Supports cellular energy metabolism and healthy aging
  • Takes seconds to use and slips into any morning routine
  • Pairs with NAD+ injections or other therapies in a provider-guided protocol
Like every Revive Longevity product, NAD+ Nasal Spray is provided through a provider-guided process: after checkout, a licensed provider reviews your information, and you are not charged until your plan is approved. Compounded NAD+ nasal spray is not FDA-approved, and statements about cellular energy and healthy aging are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Not all users will experience the same results. Individual results vary.

The Science

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every living cell. It shuttles electrons during energy production and serves as the fuel for sirtuins and PARP enzymes involved in DNA repair, which is why it has become a central focus of longevity research.1

An NAD+ nasal spray delivers a compounded NAD+ solution to the nasal mucosa, a tissue with a rich blood supply, as a needle-free alternative to injections. It is prescribed off a licensed provider’s evaluation and prepared by a state-licensed compounding pharmacy.

What the research shows, and what it doesn’t

It is important to be straightforward about the state of the evidence. Most published NAD+ research falls into three buckets, none of which is a controlled trial of this finished spray.

1. NAD+ biology is well established

Decades of laboratory work show that NAD+ sits at the center of cellular energy metabolism and the activity of repair enzymes, and that maintaining NAD+ levels is an active area of aging research.1

2. Intranasal delivery has early, animal-level data

In a rat model of stroke, intranasally administered NAD+ reached the brain and substantially reduced injury.2 That is an encouraging proof of concept for the route, but it is an animal study; it does not establish the same effects in people.

3. Human data mostly cover other routes

In humans, a small pilot study characterized how intravenously infused NAD+ appears in plasma and urine,3 and a randomized trial of the oral precursor nicotinamide riboside showed it was well tolerated and raised blood NAD+ in healthy middle-aged adults.4 Controlled human trials of intranasal NAD+ itself have not yet been published, so patient-reported benefits like energy and clarity should be understood in that context.

Nasal spray vs NAD+ injections

They are two routes to the same molecule. NAD+ injections deliver a measured dose directly into tissue and are the format with the longest track record in longevity clinics; the nasal spray trades that directness for convenience: no needles, seconds to use, easy to travel with. Some patients use both, with the spray on non-injection days. Your provider can help you choose the format that fits your goals.

Important Safety Information

Do not use this spray if you:

  • Have a known allergy to NAD+ or any ingredient in the formulation
  • Have significant nasal disease, uncontrolled chronic sinusitis, or recent nasal or sinus surgery (confirm with your provider)

Tell your provider before starting this spray if you:

  • Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding; compounding-pharmacy labeling does not recommend NAD+ in these situations
  • Have active cancer or a history of cancer; discuss NAD+ use with your oncologist
  • Use other intranasal medications, such as steroid or decongestant sprays
  • Have frequent nosebleeds or a deviated septum

Common side effects may include: nasal irritation or stinging, congestion, runny nose, sneezing, unusual taste, headache, and transient lightheadedness or nausea shortly after dosing.

Serious but less common risks may include: severe allergic reactions, persistent nosebleeds, and worsening of underlying nasal or sinus conditions.

This is not a complete list of potential reactions. Compounded NAD+ nasal spray is not FDA-approved and has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. If irritation persists or worsens, discontinue use and consult a licensed healthcare provider. Individual results vary.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does NAD+ Nasal Spray work?

The spray delivers a compounded NAD+ solution to the lining of the nose, a tissue with a rich blood supply, as a needle-free alternative to injections. NAD+ itself is the coenzyme your cells use for energy production and DNA-repair enzyme activity. Human research on intranasal NAD+ specifically is still limited; most published human data cover intravenous NAD+ and oral precursors, so think of the spray as a convenient way to add NAD+ support rather than a proven treatment for any condition.

Use it exactly as your provider prescribes; a typical compounded regimen is one to two sprays per nostril once daily. Gently blow your nose first, insert the tip, and spray while breathing in slowly. Store it according to the pharmacy label and do not exceed your prescribed dose. If you use other nasal sprays, ask your provider how to space them.

Injections deliver a measured dose directly into tissue and are the format with the longest track record in longevity practice. The spray is needle-free, takes seconds, and travels well, which makes daily consistency easier. Absorption differs between the routes, and some patients use both in one protocol. Your provider will recommend a format based on your goals and history.

The most common are local and mild: nasal irritation or stinging, congestion, sneezing, an unusual taste, or a brief headache or lightheadedness after dosing. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and anyone with active cancer, a history of cancer, significant nasal disease, or recent nasal surgery should discuss it with their provider first. See the Important Safety Information above for the full list.
